Chips Woodworking Club

Chips woodworking club  Chips Off The Old Block "CHIPS" has members mostly from Algona and Kossuth County Iowa, and surrounding area.  

Members have a common interest and goal of working with wood and sharing with others wood working skills and items. Officers are Jerry Helmers president, Ron Matz VP, Paul Avery Secretary, and Derald Goetz Treasurer.

We meet once a month, mostly on the 3rd Thursday of the month, rotating locations and meeting focus.  The meeting starts with business of the club, and then some education on woodworking or other fun item associated with woodworking.

The club donates proceeds from wood fundraisers to organizations and makes wood items for donations.

Directions from Algona: Go west on Hwy 18 for 22 miles,  At Kwik Star, turn right (north) onto N Huron St and go 2.2 miles.  Turn left onto Island View Ln (gravel road).  Go 0.5 miles and we are the brown home near the end of the road on the left side.
